Installing and Setting Up Your eSIM

Before you can install and set up your eSIM, there are a few key concepts to keep in mind. First, make sure that your device is eSIM compatible and network unlocked. This will ensure a smooth installation process. Additionally, having a stable internet connection, preferably WiFi, is essential for downloading the eSIM properly to your device.

There are three different methods for installing an eSIM on your device: the direct method, the QR code method, and the manual method. In this article, we will guide you through the QR code and manual methods, which are commonly used.

Preparation

Before you begin the installation process, you need to log in to your ESIM-Man account and navigate to the “MY ESIMS” section. Locate the eSIM you want to install and tap the “DETAILS” button. From there, select “INSTALL ESIM/ACCESS DATA” and then click on the “MANUAL” tab. Take note of the SM-DP+ Address and Activation code, as you will need them later.

Installation – Manual Method

To install the eSIM using the manual method, follow these steps:

1. Go to your device’s “SETTINGS” and tap on “CELLULAR” or “MOBILE”.
2. Select “Add CELLULAR PLAN” or “Add MOBILE DATA PLAN”.
3. Choose the option to “ENTER DETAILS MANUALLY”.
4. Enter the SM-DP+ Address, Activation Code, and Confirmation Code (if available).
5. Select a label or customize a label for your eSIM.
6. Under the “Default Line” page, choose your eSIM for “CELLULAR DATA ONLY”.
7. Your new eSIM should now appear under your Cellular Data or Mobile Data Plans.

Installation – QR Code Method

To install the eSIM using the QR code method, follow these steps:

1. Go to your device’s “SETTINGS” and tap on “CELLULAR” or “MOBILE”.
2. Select “Add CELLULAR PLAN” or “Add MOBILE DATA PLAN”.
3. Scan the eSIM QR code using a printed QR code or another device.
4. If prompted, enter the 4-digit confirmation code.
5. Choose a label or customize a label for your eSIM.
6. Under the “Default Line” page, select your eSIM for “CELLULAR DATA ONLY”.
7. Your new eSIM should now appear under your Cellular Data or Mobile Data Plans.

Accessing Data

Once you have successfully installed your eSIM, it’s important to make necessary adjustments for connecting as required. To access your data, follow these steps:

1. Go to your device’s “SETTINGS” and tap on “CELLULAR” or “MOBILE”.
2. Tap on your newly installed eSIM plan.
3. Turn on the line for your eSIM and enable DATA ROAMING.
4. If necessary, tap on “CELLULAR DATA NETWORK” or “MOBILE DATA NETWORK” and enter the APN (access point name).
5. Go back to “SETTINGS” and select your eSIM for “CELLULAR DATA” or “MOBILE DATA”.
6. To avoid charges on your other line, turn off “ALLOW CELLULAR DATA SWITCHING”.
7. Select the supported network in your eSIM settings.
