Setting Up an eSIM on your iOS Device
Before you begin setting up an eSIM on your iOS device, it’s important to ensure that your device is eSIM-compatible. Not all iOS devices support eSIMs, so it’s crucial to check if your device is compatible before proceeding. Follow the steps below to verify if your iOS device supports eSIMs and is carrier-unlocked:
- Open the ESIM-MAN app on your device.
- Tap on “My eSIMs”.
- Choose the eSIM you want to install.
- Select “View Instructions”.
- Tap on “Direct”.
- Select “Install eSIM”.
- Follow the step-by-step guide and tap “Next” to proceed.
- Tap “Continue” twice when prompted.
- Wait for a few minutes for your eSIM to activate.
- Tap “Done” to complete the installation.
Once you have successfully installed the eSIM, it’s recommended to add a label to the newly installed eSIM for easy identification. Follow these steps:
- Tap on “Secondary” within the ESIM-MAN app.
- Enter a preferred label, such as “ESIM-MAN”.
- Tap “Done” to save the label.
- Tap “Continue” to proceed.
- Select your primary line for calls and text messages.
- Tap “Continue” to proceed.
- Select your primary line for iMessage and FaceTime.
- Tap “Continue” to proceed.
- Select your ESIM-MAN eSIM as the primary line for cellular/mobile data.
- Make sure to keep the “Allow Cellular Data Switching” option turned off.
- Tap “Continue” to complete the setup.
After following these steps, you will receive a confirmation that the eSIM has been successfully installed on your iOS device.
Accessing Data on your eSIM
Once your eSIM is installed, follow these steps to access data:
- Go to “Settings” on your iOS device.
- Tap on “Cellular” or “Mobile”.
- Select your eSIM.
- Ensure that the eSIM is enabled by toggling the “Turn On This Line” option.
- If necessary, check if Data Roaming needs to be enabled by referring to the eSIM instructions in the ESIM-MAN app.
- Toggle Data Roaming on or off accordingly.
- Return to the “Cellular” or “Mobile” settings.
- Tap “Cellular” or “Mobile Data” and select your eSIM.
Your eSIM will automatically connect to a supported mobile network and allow you to access cellular data.
