When is it safe to remove eSIMs from my device?

Removing eSIMs from Your Device

There are several situations in which it is safe to remove eSIMs from your device:

  1. No active data package: When there is no longer an active data package for the eSIM. If you purchased an eSIM from a provider like ESIM-Man, you can check if there is still an active data package through your ESIM-Man account. If there is an active data package that hasn’t expired, do not remove the eSIM from your device.
  2. No longer in use: When you no longer have a use for the eSIM. Some eSIMs can only be used once and cannot be topped up. If you have an eSIM that you no longer plan to use, you can safely remove it.
  3. New eSIM for the same country/region: When you purchase a new eSIM for the same country/region, it is recommended to start with a clean slate and install the new eSIM. This helps avoid confusion about which eSIM is currently in your device.

To remove eSIMs from your device, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your device’s Mobile/Cellular Settings.
  2. Select the eSIM you want to remove.
  3. Choose the option “Remove Mobile Data Plan” or a similar option depending on your device. It could also be labeled as “Remove eSIM” or “Delete Mobile Plan.”
