Can I use tethering (Personal Hotspot)?

Using Your Personal Hotspot with eSIM

You can use your personal hotspot with your eSIM if it is supported by your device and network. This feature allows you to share your eSIM’s internet connection with other devices.

On iOS

To enable the personal hotspot on iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap on “Personal Hotspot”.
  3. Toggle on the “Allow Others to Join” option.

If your eSIM requires a manually set Access Point Name (APN), you will need to do the same for the hotspot APN:

  1. Go to Settings, then Cellular/Mobile Data.
  2. Select your eSIM under Cellular/Mobile Data Plans.
  3. Tap on “Cellular/Mobile Data Network”.
  4. Enter the APN as specified in the eSIM installation details.

On Android

To enable the hotspot on Android:

  1. Set an APN for your eSIM before enabling the hotspot.
  2. Open the Settings app on your device.
  3. Tap on “Network & Internet”.
  4. Select “Hotspot & Tethering”.
  5. Toggle on the “Wi-Fi Hotspot” option.
